Advance Building Products History

Advance Building Products was founded in 1992 by two long time sales partners with over 50 years of experience in the Masonry and Concrete Construction Industry. Dave Risdon and Mike Burlingham’s objective was clear, competitive pricing and the best customer service in the industry.

With those goals firmly established, ABP grew rapidly and by 2001 the company had out grown its facility on Seymour Ave. Dave and Mike soon realized that if the business was to continue to grow they needed to expand to a new location.

In May of 2002, Bob Scherrer, was brought in as partner and President. With 30 years of business and construction experience, Bob set out to reorganize the business and make the capital investments in order to continue the company’s growth.

In January 2003, ABP moved into a completely renovated facility at 93 Caldwell Drive. Caldwell Drive’s expansive showroom and easily accessible 60,000 square foot warehouse allows us to stock over 5,000 items for the needs of the concrete and masonry industry. The purchase of six new trucks, including a truck outfitted with a crane and a flatbed equipped with a Piggyback, enables ABP to deliver materials to any type of job site.

Through all of the changes, our goal remains the same; provide our customers with the consistently competitive pricing and the best service in the industry.
